As flooding continues to impact families across Indianapolis, we want to help our community take the next step toward recovery. The Sanctuary has established the Indianapolis Flood Relief Fund to provide direct assistance to individuals and families facing unexpected housing needs because of the flooding. Whether you need help or want to help, this fund exists to bring our community together, providing practical support to our neighbors when they need it most.

No matter where or when you are volunteering…
Please bring your own PPE equipment (rain boots, pants, gloves, masks, etc.), and use caution as homes/water can contain mold growth and hidden objects. If you are in need of masks or gloves, they will be available for pickup at our office space from 7am-7pm every day this week. (921 E 86th Street, Suite 110, Indianapolis, IN 46240)
- Take time to talk with the people you are serving! Offer comfort, encouragement, and prayer as you interact with those affected.

- Jess Rabuck of Soma Midtown is coordinating needs and volunteer efforts in Ravenswood. Anyone who would like to volunteer can text Jess at 317-340-2392.
- Ravenswood Community Group Volunteer Clean Up

- Glendale Christian Church – Supplies drop off from 10am-8pm on weekdays.

Receive Assistance
If you or your household have experienced displacement, property damage, or other financial need as a result of the August 2026 flooding in Indianapolis, assistance may be available through our Flood Relief Fund. Assistance will be based on demonstrated flood-related need and available resources and may include temporary housing, food and essential needs, cleanup and recovery supplies, essential household items, necessary repairs, transportation, or other reasonable recovery expenses. Applicants will be asked to provide reasonable documentation showing how they were affected, such as an evacuation order, photos of damage, insurance or repair documentation, receipts or estimates, or other verification. You do not need to attend The Sanctuary or have any religious affiliation to receive assistance.
Giving to the Flood Relief Fund
The Indianapolis Flood Relief Fund has been established by The Sanctuary to help individuals and families affected by the August 2026 flooding in Indianapolis and Marion County. 100% of donations designated to this fund will be used for flood relief and recovery, including direct assistance to affected households, needed goods and services, and support for trusted charitable organizations providing disaster relief in our community. The Sanctuary will oversee the distribution of all funds to ensure they are used responsibly and according to demonstrated needs. Donations cannot be designated for a specific individual or family.
